Grodan A’OK plugs are designed for seed and cuttingpropagation prior to “blocking on” into larger growing blocks. GrodanStonewool (rockwool) is made from molten rock spun into cotton candy-likefibers and then compressed into cubes, blocks, or slabs. The purpose is tosupport the requirement of the plant in the different plant stages. Grodan hasa tremendous capacity for absorbing nutrient solution while retaining plenty ofoxygen for rapid plant growth. Grodan comes in graduated sizes. Seedlingsstarted in cubes are easily transferred to blocks and then onto slabs, ifdesired. Seedlings or cuttings started in the Grodan cubes can also be transplantedinto more traditional planters and growing mediums. The V-shape design of theplug discourages tangling of roots between the plugs in the A’OK plug sheet. Sheetfits a standard 10×20 inch flat.
